A definition of the term "Object Exchange" is presented. It refers to a communication protocol that facilitates the exchange of binary objects between devices. Object Exchange is maintained by the Infrared Data Association but has also been by adopted by the Bluetooth Specialist Interest Group and the SyncML wing of the OMA. One of its applications was in the Palm III personal digital assistant. |
