Abstrakt: The article offers information on the creative ability of figurative artist Marc Winer. It is posed that this artist was born in Swampscott, Massachusetts in 1943 and his career in painting started in 1966 after leaving the Boston College Law School. Winer forwarded that rowing is one of the most tedious sports to do and to paint. It is also mentioned that American painter Thomas Eakins is influential in the development of the artistic style of Winer. A comparison of how these two artists portray the sport of rowing is also presented.
