The article provides information on the professional career of Major League Baseball shortstop David Eckstein with the St. Louis Cardinals during the 2006 World Series. The Cardinals were one of baseball's most successful teams. The baseball team had nine World Series wins, more than any other National League team. By early summer of 2006, Eckstein and his teammates were in first place. Despite the team's losses they still made it to the playoffs. Eckstein was named MVP of the tournament that year. |
