The article discusses the importance superintendents in the formation of a principal's instructional leadership. Superintendents who excelled in the development of their principal as instructional leaders started by having mutual understanding on the importance of a principal's instructional leadership in a school's success. In Phelps-Clifton Springs, commonly known as Midlakes, Superintendent Mike Ford has two fundamental beliefs about the academic performance of the enrolled students. He believes that they can achieve high levels academic performance. He also thinks that students' chances to perform at those levels can be realized by developing the principal's capacity to grow and excel as instructional leaders. |
