| Abstrakt: | Chapter 4C of the book "Distraction Osteogenesis of the Facial Skeleton" is presented. It focuses on lip and perioral enhancement. Bovine collagen is a product that was generally well suited for augmentation but presented drawbacks such as can cause allergic reaction and does not last long. The hyaluronic acid-based filler Restylane is derived from bacterial fermentation and unlike bovine collagen, allergic reaction is rare and lasts up to 8 months. |
