The article deals with the experience of the Minnetonka Fire Department in Minnesota of taking part in the filming of the television program "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition." The emergency management team of the city established an on-site incident command post, partially activated the emergency operations center of the city and shuttled people around the site. Some of the lessons from the experience that can be applied in real-life emergency situations include calling contacts at previous sites and asking mutual aid partners for help. |
