Abstrakt: | The article provides information about the ancient techniques in tablet weaving in Great Britain. According to the author, tablet weaving is an ancient way of producing richly patterned borders and bands without the use of a loom. He added that what is so unique about tablet weaving is the twisting of the threads and the design is achieved by turning the tablets by the color sequence of the threads. He emphasized that selvages such as twisted cord selvages and tabular selvages can be woven with or without tablets. |
