Abstrakt: The article focuses on the punk, and popular culture in Bandung, Indonesia during the Reform era. The Reform era, which started in 1998, was the period wherein various social movements about change emerged. According to the author, the expansion of punk culture was due to the onset of technology innovation in media, while the popular culture was a result of commercial engineering, and its adherents exercise personal power. Topics covered include punk music, the relationship between youth and music during the New Order era, and the adoption of fashion statement of Western culture by the Indonesian teenagers.
