The article presents the case of an 11-year-old girl with left-sided appendicitis with intestinal malrotation. The patient experienced 3 days of intermittent, dull, nonradiating left lower abdominal pain and had 3 episodes of non-bloody, nonbilious emesis in the 2 days before presentation. An axial computed tomography revealed an appendicolith and a tubular structure with intraluminal air and surrounding inflammatory changes in the left lower quadrant. |
