The article aims to assist timing officials in creating optimum conditions for quick and accurate results in track and field. It notes the importance of camera height and distance from the track in helping the operator to evaluate the image to distinguish between athletes finishing at almost the same time. It also cites the difficulty in reading images in determining the correct lane for runners in laned races. |
