Chapter 10 of the book "Oral Cancer--American Cancer Society, Atlas of Clinical Oncology," 5th edition, is presented. It discusses malignant salivary gland tumors. This form of cancer account for about 0.5% of all malignancies and most occur in the major salivary glands as opposed to minor salivary glands. It highlights the treatment of major and minor salivary gland malignancies. Information on salivary gland tumors in children is also provided. |
