Abstrakt: The article presents a study that hypothesizes that PKC phosphorylation at Tyr311 plays a critical role in vascular smooth muscle cell hypertrophy induced by angiotensin II. The authors used immunoblotting to monitor this phosphorylation, and cell size and protein measurements were used to detect hypertrophy.
