Abstrakt: The article discusses the basic human anatomy that is important to horseback riding. It states that understanding the function of the bones and muscles of the trunk is essential to effective riding. Two significant tasks of vertebral bones of the trunk are cited, including to provide a framework for the upright posture. One of the benefits of effective use of the trunk muscles is preventing excessive movement of the intervertebral joints.
