The article provides information on the documents from the archives of Cuenca, Spain which mention the names of two stonemasons such as Ferrand Alfonso and Juan Alfonso who were among the masters working since the first century. Accordingly, the two stonemasons were members of the polemical family of Alfonso and Juan Alfonso became a master of the construction of the church in 1420. Moreover, the two were working together at the Cathedral of Toledo as well as in other building under the orders of archbishop Pedro Tenorio. |
