Abstrakt: The article focuses on the artwork at the Royal Ontario Museum in Toronto, including a collection of Italian Renaissance stucco and terracotta sculptures. All stucco Madonna reliefs are Florentine quattrocento types. From the point of modern connoisseurship, these stucco panels are interesting because they tell about Florentine taste and patronage. The museum's single example of a relief terracotta deals with the subject of the Virgin and Child.
