Abstrakt:	The article discusses the themes and meaning of the writings of American artist Robert Smithson. The author points out that Smithson's writing are those of a fundamentalist. In addition, he emphasizes that the essential truth for Smithson was the void at the center of existence. He then highlights that the structure of Smithson's thought rests on revelation, rather than rationalization.
