Abstrakt: | The article focuses on the significant influence of painter Jules Olitski's artworks to young painters. It attributes the situation to his stylistic and fundamental art techniques which even mature painters find hard to adopt. One of the most important accomplishments he has made is the development of the visual and pictorial surfaces of fellow painter Jackson Pollock's paintings. Meanwhile, it notes that Olitski's efforts have maintained the modernist state of easel painting. |
