Abstrakt: The article focuses on the creation of Cathedra Petri in 1657-1666 by Gianlorenzo Bernini in Rome. It comprises of a gilded bronze, stucco, marble, glass and simulated sunburst that is inspired by the Caroligian artifact. The designated site for the artistic work would be at basilica church of Saint Peter, the founder of Latin Christianity and the first Roman pope. The product is constructed by Benini behind the papal altar in the apse of Saint Peter, which also represents the throne (cathedra) as Christ's vicar.
