Abstrakt: The article discusses the changes of agricultural museums in Hungary and Czechoslovakia after having survived from communism. It analyzes their missions and roles, functions, collections, research and interpret through exhibits. In 1890, agricultural museums were concerned with the artifacts of hunting, fishing and forestry. The "Agriculture in the 20th Century," exhibition at the Hungarian Agricultural Museum in 1992 were designed using an ethnological approach to show traditional methods.
