The article features Kaziah Hancock of Manti, Utah. Hancock owns a goat farm and spends some of her time painting. She has a lot of paintings depicting her goats. In 2002, she starting to do something as a way to pay tribute to soldiers fallen in the war on terrorism in Afghanistan and Iraq. She started painting portraits of these soldiers and sends them their families free of charge. To better organize her efforts she founded Project Compassion, a nonprofit organization aimed at providing gallery-quality portraits of the fallen soldiers. |
