| Abstrakt: | The article examines transportation safety in South Africa. The region uses a legal and regulatory system comparable with other countries and has experienced an improvement in accident statistics. However, the traffic safety situation compares poorly with other countries. Economic growth and related economic policies are cited as necessary for improving traffic safety. |
