Abstrakt: Out of 99 species of reptiles reported to occur in Sikkim and the Darjeeling Hills, 78 have been confirmed within Sikkim, and the fauna of these hills are similar (Cs = 0.93). Variations in number of species reported from Sikkim by previous workers are attributed to the past confusion in geographical boundary and lack of studies in the state. Further studies covering all districts of Sikkim would provide additional data on reptile fauna and vital information on their regional endemism. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
