Abstrakt: Research is needed to understanding of how to help secondary pre-service teachers gain the skills and knowledge necessary to advance student cognition. This study examined whether reflections on the types of questions asked would persuade a secondary pre-service teacher to ask questions that elicited students' mathematical reasoning.
