Abstrakt: |
The article reports on the series of legal inquiries regarding the discovery of an unknown cemetery during a construction on the Red River in Cedar Grove Site in Lafayette County, Arkansas. To study the location, Jerry Thomas of the U.S. Army Corps. of Engineers have visited the place together with representatives of state and county law enforcement agencies. The evaluation have observed that the cemetery may have been covered by the floods of 1927, thus resulting to a further investigation to identify its eligibility to qualify to the National Register of Historic Places. |
