Abstrakt: The article examines the academic drawing "Two views of a left eye," created by Pablo Picasso in Spain from 1892-1893. It is implied that the painting was made by Picasso when he was 11 years old while he was enrolled at the Instituto da Guarda in La Coruña. However, it was discovered that it was copied by the artist from the "Study of Eyes," the plate three of "Cours praeparatoire," a French drawing manual that was published by Bernard-Romain Julien in 1864. The author averred that it was one of the seven existing academic drawings of Picasso, in which four of them are also copied from French drawing manuals "Cours de dessin" in 1869 and "Exercises au fusain" in 1871, by Charles Bargue.
