Abstrakt: The article offers suggestions to professional sports organizations in the U.S. on managing a public relations crisis. Publicists are advised to maintain media relationships by emphasizing credibility and honesty. Michael McCann, assistant professor at the Mississippi College School of Law, suggests that a professional team must negotiate contracts that contain a morals clause. A team must also concentrate on the areas of crisis that can be controlled.
