Abstrakt: The article reports on the move to restore hundreds of murals during Great Depression period in public schools in Chicago, Illinois. Among the schools that restored the murals include the Lucy Flower High School depicting the fresco "Outstanding American Women" originally made by Edward Millman and the Lane Technical High School for "Epoch in the History of Man." According the schools' staffs, the restoration of the murals is challenging, particularly for financial matters. However, the schools acquired the financial assistance of General Motors Corp. and the U.S. Works Progress Administration.
