The article presents the view's of Michael Steiner on the history of sculpture. Steiner believes that the origin of sculpture were devoted itself to the figure before cubism because of the limitations of the medium made panoramic depiction unwieldy and uninteresting. In addition, art is derived from art and superior art follows superior art. As revealed, Steiner's views on sculpture history were the sense of proportion of the best sculptures by the best sculptors. |
