The article discusses prevention and response steps to deal with workplace violence. The author says the best way to manage a civil workplace is to always lead with the Golden Rule in mind. Disability and privacy issues may come into play when dealing with intimidating behavior. A clear policy must be established to outline the organization's perspective on violent behavior. Supervisors and managers must be trained to handle an issue raised to them, planning for handling the potential triggering event. |
