| Abstrakt: | The author reflects on the impact of new business models on the livelihood of radiologists. He points out several business models that are being exploited by healthcare providers particularly reverse auctions wherein sellers compete to obtain businesses. The author explains that the power of auctions are driven by emotions rather than sound value judgment. He warns that radiologists may soon find it difficult to get work with retirees and others offering their services for less. |
