Ag Leader Technology released its first cotton yield monitor system in 2000. In 2007, the InSight cotton yield monitor is being added to the Ag Leader product line. The InSight display includes a 10.4-inch color touch screen, and maps cotton yield on-the-go. InSight map layering functions allow overlaying the yield map being generated on top of another map, such as the as-planted cotton variety map. The InSight cotton yield monitor uses optical cotton flow sensors that are mounted on conveyer pipes, and communicate with the display via CAN bus. Installation kits are available for all popular picker models. In addition to cotton yield monitoring, the InSight display can be used for grain yield monitoring, and precision application of fertilizer, pesticide, and seed. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
