| Abstrakt: |
The article discusses how local authority (LA) personnel can support and develop the teaching of science in primary and secondary British schools. Many LAs work with Consortium of Local Education Authorities for the Provision of Science Services (CLEAPSS) and the Association for Science Education (ASE) to provide the needed training for their schools. Some LAs have established teams of science-specific secondary Advanced Skills Teachers (AST) who support science departments in a range of ways. |
