The article presents a medical case featuring the electrocardiograph changes in patients with polymorphic ventricular tachycardia (VT). It discusses the case of a 53-year-old man who was brought to the emergency department after experiencing a seizure-liked activity at home. It presents an overview of torsades de pointes and discourses the treatment strategies of polymorphic VT. The treatment include hemodynamic stability for tachyarrhythmia, electrical cardioversion and defibrillation. |
