Abstrakt: The article discusses the development of a transcription machine for the eukaryotic RNA polymerase II by professor Roger Kornberg. According to the authors, the eukaryotes have three different RNA polymerases to carry out the synthesis of the three types of RNA. It notes that eukaryotic transcriptional activators make contact with enhancer DNA element and simulate the initiation of transcription by interacting with general transcription factors at a promoter.
