Abstrakt: The article provides information on a study that examined the feasibility of using detection of high-risk human papillomavirus (HPV) DNA in combination with the presence of aberrantly methylated genes for urine-based cervical cancer screening. It concludes that the combination of high-risk HPV and cervical cancer-specific DNA hypermethylation markers may have considerable potential for urine-based cervical cancer screening.
