| Abstrakt: | The article focuses on the U.S. Navy's (USN) modernization program for its amphibious lift capabilities. The USN has several on-going programs aimed at replacing aging amphibious warships with newer, modern design ships with enhanced naval capabilities that meet future operational requirements. The modernization program has envisioned an improved capacity to deploy U.S. Marine Corps within an expeditionary group and give it vertical lift from a pre-positioned base. |
