The article presents an analysis of girardinia heterophylla, a natural plant with potential uses as a textile fiber. Efforts to remove stinging hairs and prepare the fibers for spinning are described. Processing, degumming and bleaching treatment tests were conducted with the intent of producing the most desirable physical properties. The best production techniques are reported. |
