The article offers information on Verigy, an automatic test equipment (ATE) business. The company was incorporated in Singapore and also has U.S. headquarters in Cupertino, California. Aside from some share distribution activities finalized in October 2006, the company completed its separation from Agilent in June 2006. Verigy had a third quarter 2006 revenue of $214 million, up 81 percent in 2005. According to Debbora Ahlgren, Verigy's vice president and chief marketing officer (CMO), the company is moving to a single contract manufacturer, Flexronics, and is shifting its system-on-a-chip (SoC) manufacturing from Germany to Shanghai, China at a very measured pace. |
