Abstrakt: The author focuses on sin and death in the context of John Milton's "Paradise Lost" and the general Epistle of James in the New Testament. He states that Milton has revised lust as the character Satan that deflects the reader's attention from the problem of sexual desire. He relates Satan as an object of corrupt sexuality to a verse in the poem. He cites one of the reasons for Milton's concern about matters copulatory.
