The article focuses on the evaluation of the suitability of large-eddy simulation (LES) to predict both the mean flow and unsteady fluctuations in a jet-borne vertical landing aircraft. LES is applied to two multiple jet impingement problems. A compressible solver on a mixed element unstructured mesh is used in the numerical method. |
