The article discusses the concern of caseworkers toward maintaining practice on professional reputation. Casework is facing an increasing demand and pressure to give more services to people, however, there is an insufficient supply of qualified personnel available to provide the demand for such services. The caseworker's responsibility to their profession and to the community requires changes in practice to determine whether they may rightfully claim a place in social casework. However, such changes are threatening the professional reputation of casework. A valid evolution is the joint responsibility of practitioners and administrators. |
