The article discusses facts and outlook concerning on field work instruction in the U.S. In professional education for social work, the field work course poses problems of common concern to educators and practitioners. These problems, definition of goals and content is under studied by the Council of Social Work Education with the participation of social workers throughout the country. Students, practitioners, and most educators have held field work to be the core of the professional social work education. |
