The article features the late jazz musician Kenny Davern. As a child, Davern was exposed to jazz and swing and learned to play the clarinet through Louis Bruno. He played the saxophone and joined several bands as a saxophonist, including Jack Teagarden's Dixieland Band. His first album was released in 1958 and it was called "In the Gloryland." |
