The article discusses the importance of full disclosure when zoo and aquarium animals are ailing or die. Such situations can be exploited as a means of educating the public. Jill Allread, principal for Public Communications Inc. , says the public sometimes thinks the captive animals are immortal. People's trust can be won by being honest with the public and informing it of the lengths that facilities go to in order to protect and provide for their animals. |
