Abstrakt:	Chapter 2 of Book 5 of "Essays on the Philosophy and History of Art" is presented. The chapter discusses the conformation and beauty of the female deities and heroines in Greek art. It describes the common attributes of heroines and goddesses represented in art. It notes that most of the figures of goddesses are draped with clothes compared to figures of gods. It describes common representations of the goddesses Venus, Diana, Pallas, and Ceres.
