Abstrakt:	The article discusses the growth in India's man-made textile industry. Outperforming its international competitors through craftsmanship coupled with the availability of raw materials, low labor costs and modern technology, India's textile industry continue to meet global market demands. However, India must address tariff and non-tariff barriers, technical barriers, health, safety and environmental standards, among others that comprise the challenge posed by developed countries.
