The article discusses the affects of substance abuse on women's health. Substance abuse is a serious problem for women because they are more prone to drug addiction as compared to men. A research by the National Center on Addiction and Substance Abuse at Columbia University shows that younger girls are more prone to the abuse than older women. It provides information on how heavy drinking can have greater negative impact on women and advocates programs emphasizing their needs. |
