Abstrakt: |
The article presents a literary criticism on "Miller's Tale" and "The Merchant's Tale," by Geoffrey Chaucer. The author analysis that both tales were examples of the comic genre known as the fabliau, because of its bawdy humor set in everyday life experiences and have an appropriately amusing moral at the end of the tale. She discusses on religious imagery in both tales that show Chaucer has enriched the basic fabliau form and bring attention to the mystery of play, romance and biblical text. |
