The article discusses the history of the rose gardens at Mesa Community College (MCC) in Arizona. MCC is a public, 2-year college and it was the school's 1996 president Larry Christiansen who invited the Mesa-East Valley Rose Society for a meeting to improve their simple landscaping. Various fund raising were held, contractors reduced their fees, building materials and various roses were donated and volunteers pruned the gardens to create this American landmark. |
