Abstrakt:	The article presents the 2006 annual report of the Committee on Public Outreach of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists. The primary function of the committee is to inform the public about petroleum geology and other branches of earth science. Strategies of the committee to enhance public awareness in petroleum geology are presented. A list of committee officials is presented.
